The Game Where You Can’t Win

13th February 2018 By The Grumble Leave a Comment

Having a loving wife is great no doubt about it but when you work from home and Mrs Grumble is also at home all the time there will be times when you will wind each other up.

I get it I am an arse I don’t deny that, but there are times where you have to give us a chance to get something right.

It’s a Tuesday afternoon, and I am busy getting ready for our walk about the village which is a daily ritual for us and one part of the day I actually look forward to.

I got my coat, boots and gloves on, all ready to leave and Mrs Grumble storms in and complains that Baby Grumble is not ready and that all I think about is myself.

The next day I get Baby Grumble in her snowsuit get her gloves on and her little hat on and drop her into her buggy and she is all ready for the trek around the village. Mrs Grumble said right we are off, I was like well I need to get my hat, boots, gloves, and whatnot on. She then starts a barrage of abuse at why I am not ready and that she has not got all day to be waiting for me.

I just quietly got my boots on and got ready not saying a word. Then it clicked!!! Mrs Grumble remembers the day before, and I could see her thinking of a way to worm out of this but she could not, and I just had this annoying smug look on my face.

Did I win? no… I just prolonged the torture!!!
